Coal India Limited
Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Coal India Limited, a Government of India company having its registered office at Coal Bhawan, Block AF-III, Action Area 1, New Town Rajarhat, Kolkata-700156 and Birsa Seva Prakalp, Bihar.
Birsa Seva Prakalp approached CIL for financial support under Corporate Social Responsibility for procurement of Oxygen Concentrator and other related expenditure of medical Aid centre for providing support to covid patients through Oxygen support.
CIL and Birsa Seva Prakalp hereby agreed as under:
- 10 centers with 20 sets of oxygen concentrators and oximeters in each center will be established by Birsa Seva Prakalp.
- The fund allocated for the project shall not be diverted to any other work and if diverted, the amount of fund diverted to other purposes shall not be treated as a part of the Utilization Certificate by CIL.
- Birsa Seva Prakalp shall inform CIL about the location of the project initially along with progress of work of the project at the end of fortnight from the date of release of the amount by CIL.
- Representatives of CIL shall visit the project locations for monitoring of project implementation as required from the commencement of the project to the conclusion of the project and afterwards. The frequency of visits shall be decided by CIL upon prior intimation to Birsa Seva Prakalp in advance.
- The scheduled time for completion of the project will be six months from the 15th day from date of release of fund (1st instalment) by CIL. If necessity for such Project ceases before six months, then the proportionate unspent revenue expenditure for the rest of the period would be refunded to CIL by Birsa Seva Prakalp.
- Birsa Seva Prakalp shall give vide publicity to the assistance provided by CIL under its CSR initiative, in local dailies/ any other mass communication channel and in their own internal publication/newsletter without any liability/cost overheads to CIL on this account.
- Photographs and media coverage shall be sent to CIL.
