Services:

  • Regular:
    • Stitching centres in various parts of Bihar to train women from deprived sections. We have 9 such centre running in various parts of Bihar. Each centre trains around 50-60 women every year for stitching different types of garments. It helps them to become self-dependent financially. Some of them also opted to contribute in social services through our platform or some other similar platform.
    • Running Baal sanskar shala and Baal sanskar kendra in various parts of Bihar targeting children of age group 6 to 12 years from deprived sections of the society. At present we have 21 such centres though out Bihar with each centre having around 35-40 enrolled children. Course duration in these centres is six months. On average in each centre we train around 70-80 students every year.
    • Aarogya Rakshak is a local person (usually young) trained in preventive health care, early identification of major diseases, nutrition, and hygiene. This person carries a kit of basic medicines and apparatus. He/she visits each village that is assigned to him/her on a regular basis. Refresher trainings and inputs by the district team guide the Arogya Rakshak in their work. The district team is composed of able doctors and social workers. This team decides the focus area, e.g. they foresee an epidemic in a particular season and plan appropriate action. At present 20 Aarogya Rakshak are working in Bundu Block of Ranchi District, Jharkhand. Each Aarogya Rakshak is serving a population of around 3000 in its assigned Panchayat.
  • Casual:
    • Distributing lifesaving items to the people in flood hit areas of Bihar
    • Organising health camps in various parts of Bihar from time to time
    • Arranging ready to eat food or food grains, masks, and other services to the needy during COVID-19 lock down

Last year’s achievements:

    • In last one year around 240 women have received training and certificate in our stitching centres.
    • Around 600 children have been taught basics of our culture, civic sense, basics of maths and science. They also been engaged in various creative activities and indoor and outdoor games.
    • 3200 people received lifesaving items like Tripol, Food items, Cloths, Electronic lantern etc. in flood hit areas of Bihar. Reaching out to the people of 16 blocks in 7 flood hit districts of Bihar were extremely challenging task. Our workers could reach out even to the areas where life and health could have been on stake.
